Gordon Caves
Gordon Caves is one of the most exciting dives in Tel Aviv; a fantastic dive for both beginners and experienced divers.
Located at Gordon Beach (in front of the Sheraton Hotel), the Gordon Reef rests just beyond the breakwater. The Gordon Reef’s unique rock structures form amazing tunnels, canyons, passages and even actual caves.
These amazing formations are rich in marine life. At depths ranging from 6-12 meters, we will meet all sorts of Mediterranean Sea life: octopuses, crabs, lobsters and soldierfish.
As we dive along the rich reef, we will discover great tunnels, canyons, and secret passages.
A deeper look at the rock structure will reveal hidden species between the rocks.
Bird Head Canyon
The Bird Head Canyon at the Mezizim Beach is named after the Bird statue located on the shore, which can be seen from the sea. The Canyon is a part of the Gordon Reef, which stretches throughout the shores of Tel Aviv.
The best way to reach the Canyon is by boat (5-7 minutes ride), although a short swim is possible too. The Bird Canyon is rich with marine life such as cuttlefish, sea breams, Crown squirrelfish, octopuses, lobsters and on a good day a few stingrays.
The dive is 9-12 meters deep. Both beginners and experienced divers will enjoy the dive.
The exciting dive along the reef with its spectacular rock structure and caves makes it one of the best locations for dives in the area.
The Amazing Sea Wolf
The best wreck dive in Tel Aviv area.
Experienced divers only, 30m (100 ft).
The Sea Wolf, named after the first Israeli Captain "Sea Wolf", is a 45 meter long and 8.39 meter wide wreck which lies at 30-32 meters deep. Built in 1956 in Denmark, the Sea Wolf served as a training ship at Akko's school for marine officers, until it was sunk in 1993. The fact that the Sea Wolf remained completely intact makes it the most exciting wreck dive in Tel Aviv area. Sliding slowly toward the bridge in 20 meters you can see the entire ship with all its glory. On a good day you can see the hall and rooms through the ship's windows.
The Sea Wolf is rich with marine life, such as: numerous sea breams, groupers, stingrays, and occasionally gray triggerfish.
*All Dives are Private dives, in small groups of 2-4 people.
